W.C. Fields in Astoria.

This year marks the centennial of W.C. Fields' 1915 stage debut with the Ziegfeld Follies. To celebrate, the Museum will show two silent films made across the street at the Astoria studio, where Fields began his long partnership with Paramount Pictures.

Join us after at The Astor Room (former commissary of the Astor Studios, and now a beautifully restored Art Deco restaurant). On display is the only photo of an artist who made films there, W.C. Fields in The Potters (one of the few lost films).

Special thanks to W.C. Fields' granddaughter Dr. Harriet Fields.
